Wooden canoes and musical instruments are often found together. In this case, the young lady is playing a ukulele in an E. M. White canoe.
This postcard is a "Private Mailing Card," which was authorized by an act of Congress May 19, 1898. The back side of the card was reserved solely for the address and postage; any message had to be written on the front of the card alongside the image.
Camp Kehonka was located on Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire. It opened in 1905, and closed in 1985. This photo was taken in 1936.
