Woman in Rushton Indian Girl

Submitted by Curator on Tue, 07/07/2020 - 19:33

This young lady is being taken for a paddle in a Grade A Rushton Indian Girl canvas canoe. She is well-equipped with a carpet, backrest, and fan. The advertiser on the fan was located in Charleston, West Virgina. The presence of a Rushton shield on the bow indicates that this canoe was built between 1905 and 1919 by J. H. Rushton, Inc.
