Writing on the back of this snapshot puts the location as Camp-of-the-Woods, Lake Pleasant, in the Adirondack Mountains of New York State. The canoe has the heart-shaped deck and short rail caps typical of a Kennebec canoe. Of note is the additional trim piece installed just below the outwales; a feature seen regularly on Kennebec canoes.
